Founder and Managing Director
Devendar earned a BE graduate degree from BITS Pilani, India with a major in Electrical Engineering in 1975. He has a consolidated experience of over 45+ years in the field of Electrical Engineering. Before founding AES in 1986, Devendar gathered vast and valuable experience while working with M/S Shriram Refrigeration Industries & Bakelite Hylam. Under his leadership and expertise, AES has been undertaking specialized, turn-key diesel generator and industrial electrical contracts for government, private and public sectors and has successfully added a variety of manufacturing activities to the business. Under his leadership, the company developed a cutting-edge product called a resistive load bank which is unique and one of the most sort after products in the field of artificial load testing in India. He has been pivotal in diversifying the company’s product and service offerings to the field of renewable energy, while maintaining a strong culture of research and innovation.
Director - Technical & Operations Head
Disha completed her B-Tech in Chemical Engineering from Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology(CBIT), Hyderabad, India and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute(RPI), Troy, NY, USA. She then worked for Amgen- a Biotechnology company in USA for 11 years gaining experience in process development, operations, manufacturing, technology transfer and process design. After relocating to Hyderabad, India, Disha has joined AES in 2017 as a Director of Operations due to her passion in contributing to the field of renewable energy.
Director - Manufacturing And R&D Head
Sandeep holds a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute(RPI), Troy, New York. Post this, Sandeep did postdoctoral research at the Chemical Engineering department at MIT in Prof. Robert Langer’s group. Prior to relocating to India Sandeep was the head of a Biomaterials research group at the Massachusetts General Hospital and was an Assistant Professor at the Harvard Medical School. He has 10+ years of experience in Biomaterials engineering R&D, scale-up and process development with multiple peer-reviewed papers published in International journals and four granted international patents. At AES, Sandeep is responsible for R&D and manufacturing initiatives aimed at improving the productivity of the Biogas Reactor(s) and Process.Sandeep has joined AES in 2017
Director and Business Head
Shruti holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York(SUNY)-Buffalo an undergraduate degree in Electronics and Telematics, from from G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science(GNITS). Shruti has been a part of founding team since 2011 , while carrying out research and commercial scale-up activities in the field of high-rate biomethanation at AES. Shruti has co-authored several publications and articles in renowned scientific journals along with research partners CSIR-IICT. Shruti is responsible for AES’s day-to-day operations of its Renewable Energy division.
